During Ramadan, community organizations like the Khater Foundation increase their welfare support, providing thoughtfully prepared, nutritionist-endorsed meals for healthier lives.
In 2025, a partnership with Alameda Healthcare Group's/ As-Salam International Hospitals facilitated the daily distribution of hot meals to families.
For the second year, we organized the food market in Cairo and Hihya City, Ash-Sharqia, empowering over 750 families to freely choose their essential groceries and Ramadan items for the month, free of charge. The market offered a range of everyday necessities such as rice, pasta, cooking oils, wheat, cheese, dried beans, fresh vegetables, fruits, red meat, and poultry, including traditional Ramadan treats like dates, peanuts, raisins, and coconut flakes for preparing cherished desserts.
The overarching goal of the Ramadan program is to bring joy and relief. This is achieved through providing carefully curated nutrition boxes filled with essential groceries, coupled with frozen poultry and Eid outfit vouchers, empowering recipients with dignity and choice in selecting clothing in accordance with their individual tastes.
Between 2020-2022, initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic focused on healthy eating and hygiene, including the distribution of hygiene kits and disinfection campaigns in Hihya City.
Our Ramadan Impact: 2019 – 2025
