Our story begins with late Dr. Salah Khater, a true philanthropist and a sincere supporter of his local community
The Khater Foundation's legacy began in the 1990s with the pioneering philanthropic efforts of the late Dr. Salah Khater. He dedicated support through significant donations to governmental and non-governmental healthcare entities, focused on connecting underserved patients with the necessary, high-quality medical care they rightfully deserve.
Commitment to Community Health
Since 2000, Dr. Fahad & Ms. Sarah Khater have championed community well-being, building on the legacy of their father, Dr. Salah Khater. Their support began with numerous local and international humanitarian foundations. Dr. Fahad deepened this commitment as a board member and donor for key local foundations (like We Owe it to Egypt, Ahl Masr), leveraging financial and technical expertise(through Alameda Healthcare Group experts). To formalize these efforts and ensure lasting impact, they established the Khater Foundation for Community Development. With a core belief: Health is an inherent right for all, irrespective of background. Inclusive health builds strong economies and empowered communities.

To ensure equitable access to quality healthcare services, and to support individuals with the resources required to preserve their well-being.
To safeguard the health and wellbeing of people living in Egypt, and tackle challenges that face the two ends of the healthcare spectrum by empowering both recipients and Institutions with the needed resources.
The Khater Foundation works on ensuring accountability and sustainability while providing support to achieve its goals through three pillars: development; charity; and advocacy.
Provide support to fill existing gaps and challenges faced in healthcare systems by advising on sustainable operations and availing solutions to beneficiaries
At the Khater Foundation, we invest our resources and efforts to elevate the health and well-being of communities. We focus on reaching marginalized communities and individuals, ensuring they receive the healthcare they need and deserve. Simultaneously, we empower healthcare institutions by enhancing their physical and technical capacity, raising standards, and improving service quality across. Our goal is to enable Egyptians to live healthy, fulfilling lives, contribute positively to their communities, and build a stronger economy.
The Khater Foundation supports local communities and healthcare Institutions across the country. It began by focusing on Hihya city in Ash Sharqia, one of Egypt’s largest governorates, and the hometown of the Khater family. Currently, the foundation provides its services to countless communities and Institutions nationwide.
