The Eid sacrifice is a significant ritual observed by Muslims worldwide to seek blessings from God. Charitable organizations and community groups distribute sacrificial meat to underprivileged families, bringing smiles and delight. In Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH / 2024 AD, calves were sacrificed, frozen and then transported in refrigerated vehicles to ensure freshness and prevent heat contamination. Along with the meat, packages containing rice, tomato paste, and spices were distributed to enable families to prepare the traditional Fattah meal enjoyed during Eid al-Adha, as well as sweets for the children.
The Khater Foundation's implementation team oversaw the project, with the assistance of dedicated volunteers. Deliveries were made directly to the doorsteps of families in the villages of Hihya city in Ash-Sharqia governorate, catering to those unable to travel. A total of 1526 families, including those who are needy, low-income, widows, orphans, and the elderly, benefited from the distribution of sacrificial meat in 2023 and 2024.
