Decent Housing

Stemming from its belief that every individual has the right to decent living conditions that contribute to their health and wellbeing, in 2019 the Khater Foundation led on renovation and construction of underprivileged families’ houses affected by rough weather conditions during the winter season. The renovations helped families avoid catching cold weather-related illnesses such as bone, joint, and chest diseases, and improved their quality of life significantly by contributing to a positive mental and emotional state, helping them overcome feelings of insecurity.
Following the success of the first phase of the Decent Housing Project, a second phase was launched in 2022, where renovations covered a larger scale of improvements to include all-over the house to include roof top coverage with proper layers of heat and water insulations and concrete, flooring, internal electricity network, sanitary works, adding kitchens, wall painting, façade painting and much more serving around of 434 individuals across 98 Families.
